LB: How did you find each other??
D8: I knew Joann through a friend, and she asked me join. ( Josh)
I have always been a match maker when it comes to bands or love, I am networking gawdess ( JoAnn )
LB: What's your most memorable moment as a band??
D8: Our CD release party. ( Josh )
When the Lonely Kings said they were Dynamite 8 fans and listen to the record all the time ( JoAnn)
LB: Where do you practice? What do you drink at practice? What do you do at practice when you’re not practicing?
D8: We practice at the hourly soundwave while drinking water. When I'm not practicing I'm working, cooking, excersing, and practicing some more. ( Josh )
I drink water, green tea, and Cytomax in that order ( JoAnn)
When I am not at practice I am raising my son, making protein powder at my job, booking the Stork Club at my other job, riding my horse, riding skateboards, riding snowboards and other Tahoe related activities, I also have been know to party. I used to like parties but now I LOVE THEM ( JoAnn )
LB: What's the hardest thing about being a band in 2009?
D8: Standing out. ( Josh )
Nothing seem hard to me really it is not rocket science ( JoAnn)
LB: What do you want people to know about your band, what are you doing next?? D8: We have slew of shows lined up before our july tour up north. ( Josh)
Correction we have a slew of FINAL SHOWS coming up. Dynamite 8 will disband upon returning from tour in July 2009. Josh is moving to Nashville or Austin to be a professional drummer.
LB: What's up with your CD where can I get it, where did you record it??
D8: We recorded our cd at Hyde st. studios in sf, and you get it either on our myspace or on itunes. ( Josh) This guy Josh new Damon DeMers made it sounds amazing he did my vocals and I have never sounded so fucking good. Josh Garcia did all the tracking at Hyde Street and he fucking RULES!
LB: Favorite San Francisco Band or a memorable show??
D8: Faith No More, the most memorable show would have to be Radio Ga Ga, a Queen cover band I saw on the beach in Italy. Fucking Amazing. ( Josh ) My favorite SF Band right now is Get Dead they are the best thing to hit our scene in a long time. My all time favorite SG band is the Avengers... who we got to play with at Bottom of the Hill thanks to Ramona! ( JoAnn )
LB: Favorite venue to Play??
D8: Almost anywhere as long as there's someone to play to. * Josh)
I like venues with no stage I like to be on the floor ( JoAnn )
LB: Have you played the Annie's Social Club before? What do you like it?
D8: Yes we have and we are playing our FINAL SF show there June 5th!!!! with Get Dead!, Compton SF, New Hope For the Dead and My Vice. 3 bands have x Angry Amputee members it is a chance to see us all in one play firing shots down each others throats! ( JoAnn )
LB: Do any of the members ever take their shirts off at a show or at practice??
D8: Squeaky and I do. I gets fucking hot!

LB: Who's the smelliest member after a sweaty gig??
D8: Me. ( Josh )
LB: Favorite pre / post show; food, indulgence or ritual??
D8: Practice pad, water and a salad or sandwhich. ( Josh )
None I am so fucking busy I never get to have the luxury of any of that shit ( JoAnn)
LB: Where do you think live music is heading??
D8: Depends where ya live really. I went to Austin In January and was really impressed by the amount of people who go out every night just to see, and support live music. You don't find that in most cities. ( Josh)

LB: How do you feel about people downloading your songs for free , do you offer free downloads??
D8: It sucks but at the same time I'd rather someone love our music whose had the cd burned for them, then a person who bought and doesn't like it. I'm not sure if we offer free downloads. ( Josh )
