LittleBook: Why did you start a band??
EXCUSE THE BLOOD: As an excuse for our drug and alcohol habits.
LB: How did you find each other??
ETB: We all played together in the band the Dekoiz.
LB: What's your most memorable moment as a band??
ETB: There are so many great moments to choose from, but it would have to be the St patty's Day show at the Elbo Room.
LB: Where do you practice? What do you drink at practice? What do you do at practice when you’re not practicing?
ETB: Downtown SF. Beer. When we’re not actually playing we’re just hanging out, we’re all very good friends.
LB: What's the hardest thing about being a band in 2009?
ETB: Playing in an expensive studio in an expensive city.
LB: What do you want people to know about your band, what are you doing next?? ETB: We just want them to dig our music and support us at shows.
LB: What's up with your CD where can I get it, where did you record it??
ETB: We recorded our 5 song demo last December at Popsmear studios in San Rafael. Ask us for a copy at one of our shows or shoot us an email at excusetheblood@yahoo.com, we’d be glad to send you one.
LB: Favorite San Francisco Band or a memorable show??
ETB: Led Zeppelin
LB: Favorite venue to Play??
ETB: Bottom of the Hill
LB: Have you played the Knockout before? What do you like it?
ETB: No, but Jonathan made out with a lesbian there (he thinks).
LB: Do any of the members ever take their shirts off at a show or at practice??
ETB: Are you kidding? We all live in SF, and are way too pale
LB: Who's the smelliest member after a sweaty gig??
ETB: Jonathan might be, only because he is the only one doing any work on stage.
LB: Favorite pre / post show; food, indulgence or ritual??
ETB: Pre-show: Pilates and breakfast burritos
Post-show: Hookers, blow and burger king
LB: How do you feel about people downloading your songs for free , do you offer free downloads??
ETB: At this point we would want as many people as possible to download our music for free. For people who like it we think they should return the favor by going to a show or supporting us in some way.
