LittleBook: This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Grannies, what's new?
Sludge-0: We've been working for the last 6 months on our 6th album, to be called, "Hot Flashes". We tracked 12 songs w/ Brian Hood in Oakland. 9 new originals (one umixed song can be heard on www.myspace.com/thegrannies) and 3 covers (LEATHER NUN, DEAD BOYS, PINK) are slated for the album. The tapes are up in Seattle right now awaiting the hand of god (Jack Endino) to bless them with a mix that will make us thunderationous. The art for the album is being done by Gregg Gordon (who got his start doing the first 2 Ozzfest posters!) @ www.gigart.com. So we're super stoked for this. We will also have organ & violin on this album!

LB: You've got some Shows coming up, and a NW Tour?!
SO: We are playing March 20th @ Annies Social CLub, it's a benefit for Brian Hood's medical expenses after his hospilization for a removal of a tumor on his heart and lungs. He has no med insurance. MIDNIGHT BOMBERS, FlexXBronco & FRACAS are also on that line-up. We're at the SF Eagle April 23 w/ THREE WEEKS CLEAN & PLASTERED BASTARDS (Pittsburgh, PA). Then we hit the NW for the first time in 4 years; May 1 @ Ash Street Saloon - Portland then May 2 @ The Comet Tavern - Seattle. Both of these shows are with 2 of our favorite new bands; THE FAST TAKERS form Portland & STEEL TIGERS OF DEATH from Seattle.

LB: So you've been getting noticed by some big companies lately.
SO:
We got a cease and desist from Jack Daniel's for our t-Shirt & Hoodie design!
