Gunner - Jan 29th8pm @ Thee Parkside SF

LittleBook: Why did you start a band??
Justin:
We started Gunner after our old band's (Red Medicine) drummer quit. We started playing in the fall of '07 to get another band started. I think we all have been playing in bands since we were 16 because we weren't good at sports.

LB: How did you find each other??
Justin:
All through mutual friends. Miles and Justin played together before Gunner and we knew Andy from The Fucking Buckaroos and we just got together at the right time.

LB: What's your most memorable moment as a band??
Justin:
I am sure it's different for everyone but probably just recording and getting everything rolling this year. It's a really good feeling.

LB: Favorite pre / post show; food, indulgence or ritual??
Justin:
We usually drink a Tilt before a show, that shit is wrong haha.

LB: What do you drink at practice??
Justin:
Usually a fine Shardana Wine but mostly beer.

LB: What’s the hardest thing about being a Bay Area Band??
Justin: Not having an all ages venue mostly.

LB: What do you want people to know about your band, what are you doing next??
Justin:
We have some shows in the work in January and we have a 7" coming out some time in March.

LB: What's up with your CD where can I get it, where did you record it??
Justin:
You can pick it up at any of our shows, myspace, and Thrillhouse Records. We recorded it at Gemme Danger Studios w/ Danny Dee

LB: Favorite San Francisco Band or a memorable show??
Justin: Opening up for Cobra Skulls at Thee Parkside takes the cake so far.

LB: Favorite venue to Play??
Justin:
Probably Thee Parkside so far but house shows are always fun too.

LB: Do any of the members ever take their shirts off at a show or at practice??
Justin:Sometimes I have, but mostly Andy because he gets go hot and heated when he's banging on the drums of his.

LB: Who's the smelliest member after a sweaty gig??
Justin:
Couldn't tell you who the smelliest is only because I don't go around smelling my band mates after a gig. I would imagine Andy is the Sweatiest after a gig, refer to the previous question.

LB: Where do you think live music is heading??
Justin: It will be headed in a much better direction as long as we have all ages venues to play.
