LittleBook: Why did you start a band??
Jokes for Feelings: I tried out for a couple of bands but during those try outs I forgot my pleather pants and rock star attitude, so I didn't make the cut. So then I decided to just to start a new band.
LB: How did you find each other??
JFF: Old friends, and craigslist.
LB: What's your most memorable moment as a band??
JFF: Our first show ever at Blakes was really fun. There was a lot of people there, but then the other guitarist kicked me in the nuts on stage mid set. That didn't feel to good.
LB: Favorite pre / post show; food, indulgence or ritual??
JFF: Beer and scotch. It gets a little ridiculous some times. This is why some one always gets kicked in the nuts or passes out.
LB: What do you drink at practice??
JFF: Usually cokes from the soda machine at soundwave studios.
LB: What’s the hardest thing about being a Band in the Bay Area??
JFF: Setting up shows. This always takes alot of work putting the bill together and then finding a good venue and then making sure everyone is getting payed fairly, which are all really important things.
LB: What are you doing next??
JFF: SHOWS! Please come Next show is at Bottom of the Hill Feb 5th!
LB: What's up with your CD where can I get it, where did you record it??
JFF: We released it 2 years back called "one of us sucks"(Seven Circle Studios) and we are working on a new one called "The Sleeping Giant" (Damon at Different Studio)
LB: Favorite Bay Area Band or a memorable show??
JFF: Too many good bands to list. But one of the best local bay area bands I personally have seen live would have to be Drip Joy.
LB: Favorite venue to Play??
JFF: Bottom of The Hill, and Blakes
LB: Do any of the members ever take their shirts off at a show or at practice??
JFF: Yes constantly and then we rub them down with oil.
LB: Who's the smelliest member after a sweaty gig??
JFF: It depends after we are rubbed down in oil or before?
LB: Where do you think live music is heading??
JFF: I think it is still strong, because people still come out to shows.
LB: How do you feel about people downloading your songs for free , do you offer free downloads??
JFF: This is a tricky one. We are cool with giving way free cd's from time to time because no one buys them anyway, but alot of musicians rely on their music sales, so we don't let people download them out of respect for musicians all over. That and we don't have a website.
LB: What was it like to go on Pirate Cat Radio, what do you think of it, is it an important part of the scene to east bay kids vs. KALX??
JFF: It was cool. Tony from PCR is a cool guy and I think he is doing an awesome thing for the Bay Area. We need more radio shows like PCR and KALX that will play local music. KALX is cool too our tunes were on there a while back also.
