LittleBook: Why did you start a band??
TERATON: We like to play...
LB: How did you find each other??
T: Kevin had just gotten back from the road, being a professional drunk and T-shirt slanger. K.C. hit him up on MySpace (lame, but fortunate) and slipped him a few discs of jams he was working on with JT. And that's it.
LB: What's your most memorable moment as a band??
T: Driving back from L.A., leaving at 2 in the morning and almost dying somewhere around King City because Kevin was falling asleep at the wheel. Why does memorable always have to be good?
LB: Favorite pre / post show; food, indulgence or ritual??
T: Kevin likes to eat no less than one pound of pork then meditate on the toilet. K.C. must herbally medicate himself and then gargle nails. JT drinks a Red Bull then vomits and tries to cancel the show. Post show super burritos with orange sauce are always good.
LB: What do you drink at practice??
T: Water, 32 oz. Red Bulls and Busch.
LB: What's the hardest thing about being a Band in Santa Cruz??
T: Being a band in Santa Cruz.
LB: What do you want people to know about your band, what are you doing next??
T: Eating, then taking a dump... Oh, you mean with music. Uhmmmmmmm... I dunno. Go to Portland maybe?
LB: What's up with your CD where can I get it, where did you record it??
T: We have a demo out that you can get at our shows, it comes with a beer coozie. We recorded at Slow Roasted Recording, which is funny because it's mobile so we didn't really record at anywhere. We also have a split (you can stream it on MySpace) that's finished and will be released sometime this century and a full length we're gonna start working on this year.
LB: Favorite Local Band or a memorable show??
T: Zzzzzzzzzaaaat!
LB: Favorite venue to Play??
T: They're all so amazing, it's hard to pick just one. Slim's was real fun...
LB: What do you like about The Retox Lounge, have you played there before?
T: Never played there before, I guess we'll find out. We like that it's in SF.
LB: Do any of the members ever take their shirts off at a show or at practice??
T: No. Gross... K.C. goes sleeveless. He'll show off the guns but not the manbear sweater.
LB: Who's the smelliest member after a sweaty gig??
T: K.C. That dirty hippie needs to shower more. Plus he makes bagels for a living.
LB: Where do you think live music is heading??
T: In the right direction and the wrong direction all at the same time. We live in exciting times.
LB: How do you feel about people downloading your songs for free , do you offer free downloads??
T: No prob bob. For the love of jeebus though, support live music by buying merch at shows when somebody stokes you out onstage.
